It seems there's a mistake in this problem. If each friend contributes 20rs for a watch priced at 60rs, they should still pay 40rs (60-20) for three friends, which amounts to 13.33rs per head (40/3). The shopkeeper cannot give 2rs back and have the price per head equal to 18rs.
