What is the difference between sonication and homozinization?
Answer / Shweta Sharma
Sonication is a process that uses sound waves to break up solid particles or emulsify liquids. In pharmacy, it's often used for the preparation of suspensions or for solubilizing hard-to-dissolve substances. Homogenization, on the other hand, is a process that involves the reduction of the size of dispersed phase particles in an emulsion by forcing the mixture through a narrow orifice under high pressure. Both processes aim to produce a more uniform suspension.
