A car travels from B at a speed of 20 km/hr. The bus travel
starts from A at a time of 6 A.M. There is a bus for every
half an hour interval. The car starts at 12 noon. Each bus
travels at a speed of 25 km/hr. Distance between A and B is

Excluding the buses that start at 8 and 5 the answer will be 17..
8.30,9,9.30,10,10.30,11,11.30,12,12.30,1,1.30,2,2.30,3,3.30,4,4.30...
totally it comes to 17 !!!!

The Bus that starts at 8 in the morning will meet the car at B at 12, when it (car) is starting its journey. The car will be travelling till 5 in the evening, so it will meet all the buses till that time. That makes the total number to be 18, but since it meets the 8 A.M. bus and the 5 P.M. Bus at stand still and not "During the journey" so the correct answer would be 16.

car requires 5 hrs to reach A. ie from 12pm to 5pm. during
these hrs buses that starts from 8.30 will be in the way to
B because bus requires 4hrs to reach B. the last bus that
car encounter is the one which starts at 12.30pm.
hence no of buses are 9 :)

A theif steals half the total no of loaves of bread plus 1/2 loaf from a backery. A second theif steals half the remaing no of loaves plus 1/2 loaf and so on. After the 5th theif has stolen there are no more loaves left in the backery. What was the total no of loaves did the backery have at the biggining.
