Evaluate computationalism, as an account of the mind?
Answer / Rajni Sinha
Computationalism is a theory that suggests mental processes can be understood as computation. It argues that the brain performs symbolic manipulations to produce thought and consciousness. While computationalism has provided useful insights into understanding certain aspects of cognition, it faces challenges in accounting for subjective experiences, qualia, and emergent properties of the mind.
