try to call them or check online. they usually send it by
post. so check with your postal office too. sometimes they
forget to deliver and it takes time. you usually get the
hall ticket even one day or 2 days before the exam. so dont
worry. try to check with other friends and also call the
APPSC office.

I have completed my Btech in May 2008. I want to write Group 1 exams.. is the notification out.. is so can anyone plz post it here.. Thanks in advance...

Hi. I am a Group 1 aspirant and I need some information regarding the exam but I cant get it anywhere. All of you must have come across the controversy regarding the implementation of reservation in Group 1 prelims. Well the High Court verdict was out on 23rd july. and the APPSC chairman discussed it with the Chief Minister and was advised to consult the Advocate General. In the press meet the Chairman of APPSC said that he was going to write a letter enclosing all the details of the previous court judgements regarding reservations in Prelims of Group I today that is 25th july. And he still said that the exams will be conducted on schedule. I really dont understand this. The Advocate General might take 2 days before he comes to the decision of either going with the court verdict or going against it. If he suggests that APPSC should go with it, then the exams will be postponed because they have to give the fresh candidates a few days before conducting the exams. If they choose to override the judgement then the petitioners will get a stay order from the high court and move on to supreme court where I think it will drag on for months. But the APPSC chairman was bent upon carrying the exams on schedule and said that they decided to go to Supreme Court for a quick solution in this regard. And he said that before discussing it with the Chief Minister. Yeah thats the story. I really dont think the exams will be on schedule but they say that they will be and I am totally confused. Go with my current preparation or assume that there will be a stay order. I could really use more time and I wish there will be a stay order. And why is nobody talking about it anywhere on the internet. I couldn't find anything anywhere about this controversy. I need all of your opinions and will be grateful for them. APPSC was my interest from my college(thats in 2000) days but could not pursue due to circumstances. Now I have the affordable money and time. I was browsing google and came across this site. I appreciate the way people have responded with answers and I want your suggestion, please. I am an MCA with 4yrs work exp. Now if I want to give APPSC can any of you suggest: 1)what papers I can opt for. some said public Admin and sociology but I want something in combination with computers. can you please !! 2)how much time per day do we need to dedicate at home if we are wokring and attending to coaching classes. this will help me have an idea If i can or cant I !! 3)seeing politics soo much in our country involved in everything, how best do you think are these APPSC exams w.r.t job if you get posted. 4)APPSC is not was it was in the days before once you join the job when posted. Its all ppolitics now. Is it worth for these exams or is working in pvt companies safe with no politiical hustle. If its job dignity then yes, but if its money and peaceful work, then is it ???? 5)Can I please know usually which month are the prelims exams, the mains and the interview. I read your answers ... I was surprised to see that it takes 2.5yrs to get posted after you give the exams!!!!!!!! I lookforward to your answers to help me decide better. Thanks sreelatha
