Emails will be received based on the contacts book, subscriptions, notifications or alerts as sometimes based on the email-client design and settings you made to the email account. If marketing subscriptions you can always click " unsubscribe" to deny/stop to receive mail from such email addresses. or you can report as spam if it is not relevant to what you subscribed or want to receive. Or if notifications from customer support mails you can always opt-out to receive email notifications from where you have given or provided email account to receive notifications from..such as shopping, bank, news-articles , business events etc.
