sycon type differs from ascon type in two important aspects.

1.bodywall is thickened and folded,containing alternate
incurrent and radial canals.

2.the choanocyte layer is discontinuous,lining only the
radial canals and the rest of the spongocoel is lined by
flat epithelium.
