A computer store regularly sells all stock at a discount of
20 percent to 40 percent. If an additional 25 percent were
deducted from the discount price during a special sale, what
would be the lowest possible price of a part costing $16
before any discount?

the regular discount is 20-40%.So the maximum regular
discount is 40%.So the Price after 40% discount is $9.6.From
this amount 25% is deducted.So the new price is now
$7.2,which is the lowest price.
