-prom runs post
-locate the bootblk
-read the bootblk
-load the bootblk
boot program phase
-read the ufs bootblk
-load
kernel initilization phase
-kernel initilization
-kerner bit 32 bit or 64 bit
init phase
-initilize the rc[rc = run script]
-run rc
