bcoz Hook for stirrups is 9D for one side and for both side it is 2*9D coz dia of bar is 8mm so it's 144mm
cover for column is 40mm, the sum of total cover is 320
the sum of whole length is 400+400+250+250=1300mm
1300-320=980mm
so the answer is 980+144 = 1124mm
cutting length for single stirrups is 1124mm when 8mm dia bar is used :) the right answer.........
