as x:y=2:1 (given)
let x be 200 & y be 100.
now,60% of 200 is 120 and 80% of 100 is 80. Accordingly 200 out of 300 tickets were sold that is 66.67%.In this way 1) is not required .Also if we take x= 2y (x & y be tickets sold of concerts X & Y)
Tickets sold of x concert be 12y/10(60 % of 2y) and of y concert be 8y/10 (80% of y).total tickets sold are 2y out of 3y.It also gives you 66.67%.
