What are "sticky ends". How are they formed?

Answer Posted / geetha

sticky ends are also called cohesive ends, it is formed by using endonuclease enzyme.

This enzyme will cut the strands in between so that it can produce those sticky ends or cohesive ends or overhanging ends

E.g 5'GAATTC 3'
3'CTTAAG 5'
Using EcoRI we can cut this strand.
