As S/w tester you can test the quality of a product which is a type of engineering activity.
As a S/W tester there is plenty of scope to be mastering in one and jack of all by testing different s/w applications developed in different technologies, prodcuts and project domains.
As a S/W tester you can acquire knowledge of the entire key features of the product and it's users.
As a S/W tester you are the one who interacts with BAs, SMEs, developers, PMOs and PMs who are the major stakeholders of the project as part of your testing profile so that you can acquire some business analysis and negotiation skills from them.
