Given: v=440v, 3phase, pf=0.85, hp=5hp I=?
1hp=0.746kw
5hp= 5*0.746 kw = 3.73 kw
now P=3.73kw
for 3phase P=1.73*v*i*pf
I= P/(1.73*V*PF)
I = 3.73*1000/(1.73*440*0.85)
I = 5.76 amps
