1.In the fermenter primary metabolites are the products
whereas in bioreactor secondary metabolites are the
products.
2.In the fermenter, bacterial cells are having rigid cell
walls. whereas in bioreactor animal cells are fragile, so
preferable agitation RPM less in bioreactor than fermenter.
3.In the fermenter bacterial cells doubling time is 20 min,
whereas in bioreactor animal cells takes 14hours or 17
hours or 24 hours.
4.In the fermenter fermentation takes place whereas in
bioreactor biochemical reactions takes place.
