Control Valve is final control element of clost loop. So
signal coming to control valve will be in pneumatic form
but depends on size of Valve. It can be 3-15 PSI or 0.2 -
1kg/cm2 but it is not fixed. There is one instrument called
Positioner which will convert 3-15 PSI signal to desired
siganl depending on Control valve.
For any Contol Valve signal will come from Control room in
the form of 4-20 mA. this 4-20 mA signal was converted to 3-
15 PSI signal by instrument called I/P converter. This
siganl will go to positioner and the positioner o/p is
given to valve actuator to get desired opening and closing.
