if we r having OSI model they why nowadays we r using TCP?IP
model??

Answer Posted / ankit dhawan

Hi All,

OSI MODEL is a reference model as we all r familiar
with.this model helps us in understanding the concept of how
communication occurs b/w 2 devices.Honestly,nothing more
than that. Now the question arises how it assist us in
getting the way of how communication actually occurs.i will
take it as u all are familiar with the this question's
answer(if u know the functions of all 7 layers)

on the other hand TCP/IP is a protocol suite(its not a
model). From protocol suite i mean to say Protocol
Database.it is actualy a list of all the communication
protocols.it describe all those protocols who actually does
the comunication possible.
