waterfall model is a linear sequential model in which
progress flows steadily downwards like a waterfall from one
phase to another phase. In waterfall model, coding will start
once all the requiremtns are fixed.so it is very difficult
for customer to give all the requirements at the initial
stage itself.Adding new reuirementsor changes isvery
expensive. The main disadvantage of waterfall model is if
any error is found in one phase, from there it wont go
forward untill unless that error got clarified from earlier
stages.
