Click Start > Control Panel.
Double click Network and Internet Connections.
Click on Network Connections or click Start > Settings > Network Connections if you are using the “Classic Start Menu”.
Right click on Local Area Connection or your dial-up connection.
Click on Properties.
Double-click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
select advance
Click on the DNS tab, then click in the "Append these DNS suffixes (in order):" field.
Click in the Add button.
add your exchange address and ok
open thunderbird account settings
Click Server Settings to display the Server Settings configuration screen.
Enter exchange.csupomona.edu where it says Server Name.
Under Secure Settings, select SSL.
Click OK
