Mitisis is a somatic cell division .it occurs in diploid
cells.because of this a parent cell can give rise to only
two daughter cells.The diploid chrmosomal number as it is
transferred into daughter cells.
Meiosis is a germcell division.It occurs in reproductive
cells.Because of this parent cell can give rise to four
haploid daughter cells.
