Car battery + terminal allways biger than - terminal! Why?

This is to ensure that the battery cannot be connected the
wrong way round i.e +ve to -ve / -ve to +ve. This would
cause serious damage to the alternator and any other
electronic componants fitted to modern cars especialy the
engine management unit.
