IN A DIAL GAUGE +SIDE READING MEANS LOAD IS COMING ON DIAL -
SIDE MEANS REVERSE OF + SIDE.

1st MEASURE THE CENTRE DISTANCE BETWEEN BEARING PEDESTLS
WHERE THE SHIM IS TO BE ADDED, DIA OF THE SHAFT WHER THE
DIAL IS PLACED.

NOW THERE ARE TWO CORRECTION 1.RADIAL 2. AXIAL
FOR RADIAL

CONSIDER DIAL IS PLACED ON PUMP SHAFT & CLAMP ON MOTOR
SHAFT FOR BOTH RADIAL & AXIAL. ROTATE IN 90 DEG INTERVALS
FIRST CORRECT AXIAL & THEN RADIAL ex.

AXIAL TOP:0, LEFT:+0.3, RIGHT:-0.6, BOTTOM:-0.3MM

THE ABOVE READING MEANS THE SHAFT IS CLOSED LEFT SIDE BY
+0.3 AND OPEN BY -0.6. CORRECT BY MOVING THE SHAFT TO
CLOSE -0.6 AND CHECK WEHER IT IS O.OOMM FOR SIDE
CORRECTION. AND FOR BOTTOM -0.3 MEAN BOTTOM SIDE IS OPEN.
CORRECT BY ADDING SHIM ON FRONT BRG PEDESTAL OR REMOVING
SHIM FROM REAR BRG PEDESTAL WITH THIS FORMULAE.
'(AV x L / 2D)' AV=-0.3(ERROR), L=LENGTH OF CEN OF BRG
PEDESTAL, D=DIA OD SHAFT WHER THE DIAL IS PLACED.

RADIAL TOP:0, LEFT:+0.3, RIGHT:+0.5, BOTTOM:+0.8MM
THE ABOVE READING MEANS THE SHAFT IS OUT FROM ITS CENTRE
AXIS BY 0.2MM RIGHT SIDE, JACK 0.1MM FROM RIGHT TOWARDS
LEFT. AFTER THAT CHECK WETHER IT IS O.OO. AND FOR BOTTOM
+0.8MEANS MOTOR IS DOWN SO PLACE +0.4MM SHIM ON ALL FOUR
LEGS/BRG PEDESTALS.

AFTER THAT CHECK THE READING. THE ALGEBARIC SUM LEFT&RIGHT
WILL GIVE THE BOTTOM READING CONSIDER ALONG WITH SIGNS
