what is the exact meaning of domain?

Domain : Informatica Domain is a collection or Group of Nodes and Services.
What is a Node ?
Node is a logical representation of physical Machine in a domain. In simple words a node is a computer in which we installed Informatica .
What is meant by Services : each Node in a domain runs two types of Services to perform the domain operations.
Types of Services : (a) Service Manager (b) Application Service
Service Manger : it is nothing but a service in windows , daemon in Unix. it runs the application services and performs the all domain operations
Application Service : a group of services that represnt server based functionality.
ex: Repository Service,Integration Service,Content Management Service,Model Repository Service,SQP BW service, Reporting Service

In a simple mapping when i use aggregate t/r with out any
condition or group by, i am getting output as only last
record in the table . can any one explain it please.........?


Answer

If you're using Aggregator Trasnformation without using group by on any port then the aggreagtor TXNs consider whole table as one group and gives the last row as output.

Why last row as Output : by default aggregator uses MAX() function

will it go?

If the Filter codition doesn't match those records are sent to Bad files. you can check the Bad File in infromatica server directory i.e., C:Informatica10.1.0serverinfa_sharedBadFiles
and the filename is targetFilesname with extention .out
