there are two types of ip address public and private
(physical ip addtress)
public ip address is purchases by the user to access the
internet.
and private ip address is unique for a one system.
in modems public ip address is works.
and in com. i.e physical ip address.

as the address of the MODEM is the MAC(Media Access Control)
adderess, it is the physical address provided by the
vendor.
