Sachin, Dravid and Ganguly played in a Cricket match between
India and England.

? None of them scored more than 99 runs.

? If you add the digits of the runs scored by Sachin to his
own score, you will get the runs scored by Dravid.

? If you reverse the digits of the runs scored by Dravid,
you will get the runs scored by Ganguly.

? The total runs scored by them is 240.

Can you figure out their individual scores?

Sachin, Dravid and Ganguly played in a Cricket match between India and England. ? None of them ..

Answer / rajesh

we can solve this wid equations
let sachin = xy = 10*x + y
dravid = mn= 10*m + n
ganguly = nm = 10*n +m

nw 10*(x+m+n) + (y+m+n) = 240 ....(1)
since the unit place of the sum is zero

y+m+n must be multiple of 10
even if its 9+9+9 its 27 so it has to 10 or 20 probabilty
of 20 is more

y+m+n=20
substitute in (1)
we get x+m+n=22
therefore
x-y=2
nw the possible combination fr sachins score
is
31, 42, 53, 64, 75, 86, 97
use it 31 the total sum would be very less
approx. around middle value we get
sachin = 75
dravid = 87
ganguly = 78

Sachin, Dravid and Ganguly played in a Cricket match between India and England. ? None of them ..

Answer / hemant joshi

.Sachin's score must be less than 86, otherwise Dravid's
score would be more than 99. Also, he must have scored
atleast 42 - incase Dravid and Ganguly scored 99 each.
Also, as none of them scored more than 99 and the total runs
scored by them is 240,their individual scores must be around 80.
Now use hit and trial method to solve the teaser...>>

In a kingdom far far away, the King decided that the time has come to find a husband for his princess daughter. The King wanted to find a worthy lad for his princess, so he promised to give his daughter away to the first young (or old) man who would solve the puzzle that has stumped the best of his court mathematicians for years. The puzzle is very simple: in a palace, there are 25 rooms arranged in a square--5 rows of rooms with 5 rooms in each row. In every room there is a light switch which not only switches on/off the light in that room, but also switches the lights in the adjacent rooms--the room to the right, to the left, the room above and the room below. Initially, all of the lights are turned off. The goal is to turn the lights on in every room of the palace.
