get a good media of linux put it into cdrom.
use first boot from cd frm bios than restart pc. press
enter key for graphical or type "text mode" for command
mode ins. we can instal it from ftp, nfs server, network.

1) Obtain any desired distro ISO.
2) Burn the ISO at 2x or 4x (lowest available)
3) Boot and press enter to start the installation.
4) Follow on-screen instructions.

U r asking for linux os installation and not specified the
flavour.There r many flavours are available.In red hat,
1.Boot from cd rom
2.It will ask for the mode.
3.You can see many options
4.press f5.
5.It will show many methods to install the OS.
6.As you r first time to install this os type the command
"linux askmethod"
7.It will start to install.
8.Follow the steps and give swap memory as double of ur ram
size.
9.install and give the root password
10.create users
11.start using ur red hat os
