In a certain department store, which has four sizes of a specific shirt, there are 1/3 as many smal..

Answer / bigdummy

Given:
S = M/3
L = S/2
XL = L

Change given expressions in terms of M:
S = M/3
L = S/2 = (M/3)/2 = M/6
XL = L = M/6

Total = S + M + L + XL
so
Total = (M/3) + M + (M/6) + (M/6)
6*Total = 2M + 6M + M + M = 10M
M = (6*Total)/10 = .6 (or 60%)
