suppose the capacity of cistern is 30unit. when it id repaired
then takes 3 hrs.thus water coming in i hrs=10unit.
now leak tank takes 3 hrs and 1/2 hrs extra. that is, in
general think that the water filling in 1/2 hrs is equal to
the leakage of hole in 3.5 hrs.
leakage in 3.5 hrs is =10/2=5 unit
so 5 unit is leakad in =3.5 hrs
so 30unit(full capacity) is leaked in =3.5*30/5
=21 hrs
so it will take 21 hrs to empty the full cistern.

Let's assume the tank has 12 litres capacity. The pipe can fill in 3 hours therefore efficiency= 12/3=4. Now the leak caused the tank to be filled in 3 1/2 hrs.
Total capacity/efficiency of pipe-efficiency of leak=time taken
ie,12/4-x=7/2
X=(28-24)/7= 4/7 which is the efficiency of d leak.
So time take by the leak to empty the tank is:
12÷ 4/7 12*7/4= 7*3 = 21 hours

Answer / pradeep
the amount of work done by the leak in one hour is
(2/7)-(1/4)=1/28....
Therefore the amount required to empty the whole tank is 28
hours

Given a collection of points P in the plane, a 1-set is a point in P that can be separated from the rest by a line; i.e. the point lies on one side of the line while the others lie on the other side. The number of 1-sets of P is denoted by n1(P). The maximum value of n1(P) over all configurations P of 19 points in the plane is 18 9 3 I could not solve this. plz give any solution for this question
