Tropical rainforests, found near the equator, have diverse and rich vegetation. The canopy layer is filled with trees like mahogany, rubber trees, and palm trees. Ground vegetation includes ferns, vines, and a variety of flowering plants. Fauna in tropical rainforests is also incredibly diverse. Typical fauna may include primates such as gorillas and orangutans, big cats like jaguars and leopards, elephants, and a vast array of bird species.
