Immunoglobulin (Ig) C is one of the five classes, or isotypes, of antibodies produced by B cells. It is also known as IgA2c and is found in secretions such as saliva, tears, colostrum, and breast milk. IgC is a type of antibody that can exist as a monomer (one unit) or as a dimer (two units). The dimeric form of IgC is called secretory IgA and is the predominant form found in secretions.
