What is the response type and activity shown by effectors molecule ifn ? Secreted by th or tc cell?
Answer Posted / Himanshu Dwivedi
Interferons (IFNs) are cytokines produced by helper T cells (Th) and cytotoxic T cells (Tc) in response to viral infections or other stress signals. The primary role of IFNs is to induce an antiviral state in host cells, thereby inhibiting virus replication. They do this through the activation of Janus kinase (JAK) signaling pathways and the transcription of interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs).
