How is librated iodine estimated?

Answer Posted / Vivek Kumar Basumata

Liberated iodine is estimated by titrating it against a standard solution of sodium thiosulfate (S2O3²-). The excess iodine reacts with starch, forming a blue color, which allows for the determination of the amount of iodine present.
