What is the difference between collector & emitter of transistor, even though material used for both same?
Answer Posted / Shanky Bhatnagar
In a bipolar junction transistor (BJT), the emitter and collector are two terminals through which current flows. The emitter is the terminal that injects minority charge carriers (electrons or holes) into the base region, while the collector is the terminal that collects these injected charge carriers. Although both the emitter and collector are made of the same semiconductor material, their roles in transistor operation are distinctly different.
