What is difference between rename and prefix?

Answer Posted / Rishu Kumar

RENAME is a command in IBM i (AS400) that allows you to change the name of objects such as files, libraries, and print files. Prefix, on the other hand, is used to add a common string to the beginning of object names for easier management and organization.nn For example:n RENAME old-file TO new-filenChanges the name of 'old-file' to 'new-file'.nn Prefixing a library can be done like this:n LIBRARY (new-prefix.lib1 lib2 lib3)
