Give an example for electrophilic substitution reaction?
Answer Posted / Bimlesh Kumar Tiwari
A classic example of an electrophilic substitution reaction is the Friedel-Crafts alkylation. In this reaction, an alkyl halide (such as ethyl bromide) reacts with a aromatic compound (like benzene) in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst (like aluminum chloride) to form an alkylated aromatic compound (e.g., toluene).
