The Government of India has taken several initiatives to conserve endangered medicinal plants. These include setting up of Medicinal Plants Conservation Reserve, Wildlife Protection Scheme for Medicinal Plants, and the Integrated National Mission for Sustaining Himalayan Ecosystem.
