How B cell hybridomass are formed?

Answer Posted / Kuldeep Singh Kushwaha

B cell hybridomas are formed by fusing an immortalized myeloma cell line with a B cell from an immunized animal. The resulting hybrid cells inherit the antibody-producing ability of the B cell and the immortality trait of the myeloma cell, thus creating stable, continuously growing cell lines that secrete monoclonal antibodies.
