How far did the constitution of India fulfill the aspirations of the various sections of Indian society?

Answer Posted / Pankaj Kumar Arya

The Constitution of India, adopted in 1950, aimed to ensure justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity for all its citizens. It provided for fundamental rights, including the right to equality, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech and expression. However, it did not fully fulfill the aspirations of all sections of Indian society. For instance, caste-based discrimination persists, and marginalized groups like women, Dalits, and tribal communities continue to face significant challenges in terms of social, economic, and political representation.
