In humans, brown eyes (B) are dominant over blue (b). A brown-eyed man marries a blue-eyed woman and they have 8 children, all brown -eyed. What are the genotypes of the parents and offspring?

The brown-eyed man (BB) and blue-eyed woman (bb) must have both inherited one dominant Brown gene (B) from their common parent. Since all their children are brown-eyed, they must have each received a Brown gene (B) from the father and a blue gene (b) from the mother. Thus, the genotypes of the parents are BB (father) and bb (mother), and the offspring are Bb (all children).
