What are the differences between entropy, free energy, and
enthalpy?
Answer Posted / Romesh Kumar Singh
Entropy (S) is a measure of the disorder or randomness in a system. Free energy (G) is a thermodynamic potential that describes the maximum reversible work a system can perform at constant temperature and pressure. Enthalpy (H) is the heat content of a system at constant pressure, which includes both the internal energy and the product of pressure and volume.
