How can you construct both PMOS and NMOS on a single substrate?
Answer Posted / Manorama Devi
In Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) technology, both NMOS and PMOS transistors are constructed on the same silicon substrate. The substrate is typically doped either P-type or N-type to form the majority carrier for the corresponding transistor type. For example, in an n-type substrate, NMOS transistors will have their source and drain regions diffused, while PMOS transistors will be fabricated using a p-type channel region formed using ion implantation or epitaxy.
