What are the substances that constitute the chromatin? What is the difference between chromatin and chromosome?

Answer Posted / Amit Kumar Batar

Chromatin consists of DNA, RNA, and protein (histones). Chromatin is the material that makes up the chromosomes within a cell's nucleus. Chromosomes are condensed forms of chromatin during cell division, while interphase chromatin appears less dense. The primary difference between them lies in their structure and function: chromosomes facilitate the separation of genetic material during cell division, whereas chromatin is responsible for organizing, packaging, and maintaining DNA in the nucleus throughout the cell cycle.
