How to isolate primary osteoblasts?

Primary osteoblasts can be isolated from bone tissue by collagenase digestion. The cells are then plated on culture dishes and grown in osteoblast differentiation medium, which typically contains DMEM supplemented with ascorbic acid, β-glycerophosphate, and dexamethasone.
