How to Measure nitrite from LPS-activated RAW264.7 cells ?
Answer Posted / Saket Vishnoi
Nitrite can be measured from LPS-activated RAW264.7 cells (a type of macrophage cell line) by Griess reagent assay. The cells are activated with LPS, and the nitrite level in their supernatant is determined by mixing with Griess reagent, which forms a pink complex with nitrite. The absorbance of this complex can be measured spectrophotometrically at 540 nm.
