To operate a soot blower for a boiler, follow these steps: 1. Isolate the soot blower from the system. 2. Attach the hose to the nozzle located inside the boiler or economizer. 3. Turn on the air supply and adjust the pressure to the recommended level (usually 40-60 PSI). 4. Slowly open the soot blower valve while maintaining control of the air supply. For an economizer, the process is similar but may require additional precautions due to its heat exchanger design. Always consult the manufacturer's instructions for proper operation.
