It is assumed that the cats are "working" simultaneously.
6 cats kill 6 rats in 6 minutes and therefore 1 cat kills 1 rat in 6 minutes.
So, 100 cats will kill 100 rats in 6 minutes.
Why do they need 50 minutes?
