why no bond in chemistry is 100% ionic?

Answer Posted / meesum timar khan

If the electronegativity difference between the bonded atoms is 1.7 or more than that, then the bond is said to be ionic.Keeping this in view,NaCl has 72% ionic character.CsF has 92% ionic character and calculations tell us that there is no bond with 100% ionic character.
