What is split

Answer Posted / ram

Split or Splitless is a technique to save the capillarry columns, whose sensitivity and selectivity is more but at the same they are vulnerable to high concentrations hence in order to reduce the concentration of the sample we have to use the split mode.
for example if split ratio is 1:10 means one part of the sample will go inside remaining will go to split vent.
