well its the nature of the current . when a person recieves a shock from ac he is thrown away. for example those who have watched jurrasic 1 can see the kid getting thrown away when 10000 v is been applied on perimeter fence.we use dc max of 12 v in car batteries so no shock is experienced even for 12 v ac. but if u can make contact with 100 v minimum or so . u get a shock that pulls you towards it and often difficult to let go.
it is seen those getting shock from plug points can take their hands of due to repulsive nature .if u ever encounter dc 220 v source u see its difficult to take yr hands off
