why we use only sine wave in ac why we do not use other wave
forms
Answer Posted / k.abhishek anand
any mathematical operation on sine wave produces sine wave
only.for eg;addition, sub, multi, div.whereas otherwaves changes their wave forms.
we generate electricity and transfer it from one place to another place.
at generation time we want to produce it at low voltage
and transmission should be done at high voltage and it is economical in household to use the current at low voltage.
all these requirements are satisified by sinusoidal wave.so we prefer sine wave over other waves
